HOUSE RULES
The most important rules to ensuring everyone has a pleasant and safe experience at the Grey Gull are:

Health & Sanitation
We have used the time during the Great COVID Pause to update our cleaning and safety policies. We strive to exceed all state and federal standards in cleanliness and safety both for guests and our employees.
For more information visit our COVID 19 Information page. We ask that while visiting the Grey Gull that you kindly follow the health protocols as described by staff and signage.

Guests and their visitors who have had a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19 within the last 14 days should not enter the Grey Gull.
​
There is an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 that exists in any public place. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. Guests and visitors that enter our hotels assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

TAKE CARE OF YOUR VALUABLES
It’s your responsibility. The Grey Gull does not assume responsibility for the loss of money, jewels, or other valuables. We are not responsible for the contents left in the guest room. By using the guest room key, guests agree that liability for payment is not waived and guests agree to be held liable in the event that the indicated person, company, or association fails to pay for any part of the full amount of these charges, including damage done by guests or visitors to hotel property.

SMOKING IS FORBIDDEN INSIDE THE BUILDING
The Grey Gull Portland is a non-smoking property. This extends to all areas in and around the building within a 25ft radius of hotel entrances. By using the guest room key, guests understand that a minimum fee of $300 will be charged for smoking of any kind on the property.

DEBIT + CREDIT CARDS
By providing a payment card at arrival, guests understand and acknowledge that debit cards & credit cards used for checking in at the Grey Gull will be debited for guest room charges and taxes in addition to $25.00 for incidental charges for each day of the planned stay. Any unused amount could potentially be held by your financial institution for up to 21 days after the departure date.

PET POLICY
The Grey Gull Hotel is happy to accommodate you and your dog during your stay. Out of consideration for your surroundings and your fellow guests, we ask that you kindly review the following guidelines:

Pets are defined as dogs; no cats or any other animals.
-
Advance notice of the number of pets is required. Undeclared pets or additional pets not reported at the time of check-in are subject to a $100 non-refundable fee.

Dog owners agree to pay a $25 fee, per night per dog, with a maximum of 2 dogs per room. Additional fees will be charged for damage and/or unreported accidents to Grey Gull property up to $300 or the cost of replacement/repair.

By Owner request and out of respect for guests with allergies, we limit our dog-friendly rooms to specific unit numbers only. Please confirm your dog-friendly room with the front desk.

Dog owner agrees to not leave their dogs unattended at any time during their stay; which includes both guest rooms and private vehicles.

Due to safety concerns for our employees and your dog, we will not clean a room with an unattended dog. Dog owners may be asked to vacate the property if their dogs become a nuisance to other guests.

Owners agree to keep their dogs on a leash or in a kennel, while the dog is on any public or common area of the property.
-
Dog owners agree to walk their dogs in the designated, “dog area”, and also agree to clean up after their dog as needed.
-
Dogs are not allowed in the pool, hot tub, or sauna areas.

Any guests planning on bringing a dog must contact the Grey Gull Hotel directly, by calling locally 360-289-3381 or toll-free 1-800-562-9712.
In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), we accept service animals defined as a dog that has been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability. The task(s) performed by the dog must be directly related to the person’s disability.
We do not allow emotional support, therapy, or companion animals as they have not been trained to perform a specific job or task, and therefore do not qualify as service animals under the ADA.W

CHECK OUT TIME
In consideration of all our guests, check-out is at 12:00 PM.

RESERVATION POLICY

Effective date: July 1, 2021
​
The hotel requires cancellations to be made by 4 PM at least 3 days prior to the reservation arrival date. Failure to cancel prior to 3 days will result in a penalty equal to the first nights' room and tax. All reservations must be guaranteed with a major credit card at the time of reservation. The card on file will be used for a deposit of the first nights' room and tax which will be charged 3 days prior to the reservation arrival date. All non-cancellation or pre-pay room promotions will also be charged on this card accordingly. The credit card owner must be present at the time of check-in. Should you require alternate billing please contact the hotel directly prior to arrival. Guests must be 18 years of age or older to occupy a guestroom.
